When finishing a horizontal blind, you can choose a ladder cord (standard) or a ladder tape. The pictures in this article clearly show the difference.
A ladder tape accentuates the places where the cords run through the blind, and provides a striking finish to the whole. It is usually chosen in a colour that matches the slats. Daring people, however, choose a contrasting colour. This can be combined with an accent colour that is present in the interior, for example a white venetian blind with a black ladder tape.
A ladder cord is a standard finish for horizontal blinds. It is the cord that is required for your blind to work perfectly. These are always in a colour that fully matches the slat colour you have chosen. Feeling inspired? Then assemble your venetian blind yourself in our webshop.
The width of the slat is very important while choosing a venetian blind. In general, we can say that the larger the window, the wider you can take the slats. Smaller windows will be more elegant with 16mm slats, while large windows are at their best with 50mm slats.
Wooden window decoration – like bamboo blinds – has a great aesthetic character. It’s a warm material that ensures cosiness and at the same time radiates durability. Few realise that wood also has an important functional advantage: insulation.
