Large surfaces, optimal hanging behaviorIf your home has large windows, than it is definitely worth while making the right choice of window covering. Window coverings such as roller blinds or roman shades are suitable for large windows, however there are a few remarks that should be taken into account. Since the fabric in these products hangs tight over a large surface, wrinkles or waves can take shape. These are inherent to the product and therefore difficult to avoid.
Ideal for a home with young children
Vertical blinds with pvc slats are ideal for a family with young children or pets. They are perfectly washable and sustainable. Chocolate, pudding, markers, children’s paint ... it is not a problem for pvc slats.
Due to the weight of pvc, no bottom chains are needed. Moreover, closing the slats gives an obscuring effect.
Is a Duo-Roll expensive?Of course, the price of a Duo-Roll is higher than the price for a standard roller blind.
This is though quite easy to explain. A Duo-Roll has twice the amount of fabric as a standard roller blind. Furthermore, a duo-roll is always equipped with cassette. Knowing that the fabric and the processing of it is part of the price of a roller blind for ±75% explains why a doubling or the required meters of fabric causes this significant difference in price.
Stability for large windowsIn Belgium, we tend to build houses with a lot of attention for maximal illumination. For larger houses, this implies larger windows. Technically, roller blinds and roman shads can have a maximal width of up to 4 meters.
