Fire retardant wood?

This title seems like a contradiction, but as a matter of fact there exists wood that is fire retardant. This can be very convenient for specific applications. Because of the strict European law, there are a lot of places where fire retardancy is required. Thanks to our collection of fire retardant wood, which is conform the most strict standard (M1), venetian blinds in wood can be offered in these places as well. (e.g. hotels, public place, …) Eventually a fire will affect the wood, but the wood has a fire retardant effect and will as a result not catch fire.

Is a Duo-Roll expensive?

Of course, the price of a Duo-Roll is higher than the price for a standard roller blind.
This is though quite easy to explain. A Duo-Roll has twice the amount of fabric as a standard roller blind. Furthermore, a duo-roll is always equipped with cassette. Knowing that the fabric and the processing of it is part of the price of a roller blind for ±75% explains why a doubling or the required meters of fabric causes this significant difference in price.
