Electric roller blinds

For window decoration we automatically think off a manual operation via chain or cord. But there are solutions with a higher level of comfort, namely window decoration with electrical operation.

Many articles of everyday use are becoming more and more automated. Coffee is ready at a certain programmed time, the lights automatically switch on when we enter, the heating regulates itself by a programmed scenario, ...
As you can assume, also for window decoration these kind of solutions exist. To make this clear we present you the possibilities of electric roller blinds. Roller blinds are in Belgium the most popular form of window decoration.

To operate automated roller blinds, there are 3 possibilities. We can offer electric roller blinds with switch (1) or remote control (2) or battery operated motor (3).

The first 2 options can be used when the electricity (220V) is available at the place where the roller blinds will be installed. A battery operated motor is very useful when this isn’t the case. Nearly every option is available with a battery operated motor and the operation is via the same switch or remote control. The electric roller blinds on 220V or on batteries can mutually be combined when it comes to the operation.

In our range of motors you can choose between our own label Diaz or the well known label Somfy. Both offer outstanding motors who make the operation of your window decoration smoother and easier. Imagine that with one single push on the button all the roller blinds in your living room go up. This can offer you lots of comfort when you wake up in the morning. Your product also has a longer lifespan when you opt for an electrical operation.

Go and visit one of our distributors who will explain all the trumps, so you can make a well considered decision, that is based on the correct information, whether or not you will opt for electric roller blinds.

DUETTE®

Ever since the arise of Duette® Shades, the pleated products have gained enormously in popularity. Duette® fabrics are pleated fabrics with a honeycomb structure. This causes a double layer which makes that the typical cords in the fabric are no longer visible.

The specific shape and structure of Duette® fabric brings along some technical specifications which make pleated blinds a very profitable type of window covering. The insulation value of Duette® Shade is in no way comparable with any other type of window covering.

Is a Duo-Roll expensive?

Of course, the price of a Duo-Roll is higher than the price for a standard roller blind.
This is though quite easy to explain. A Duo-Roll has twice the amount of fabric as a standard roller blind. Furthermore, a duo-roll is always equipped with cassette. Knowing that the fabric and the processing of it is part of the price of a roller blind for ±75% explains why a doubling or the required meters of fabric causes this significant difference in price.

Can you choose?

If we take a look into our roman shade collection, we can imagine that it is not easy to choose. Many of our fabrics can be confectioned as roman blinds, hence the huge selection.

The width of the slat is very important while choosing a horizontal blind. In general, we can say that the larger the window, the wider you can take the slats. Smaller window will be more elegant with 16mm slats, while large windows are at their best with 50mm slats.
